Here's a way to worship Lord Shiva in the form of Waxing crescent moon for financial growth. The third day of the waxing crescent moon is known as 'moondram pirai' in Tamil and 'Teesri Baisakhi' in Hindi. 

There's a Tamil devotional song that describes the list of benefits one may receive by continued worship of the waxing crescent moon. According to the song, observing the waxing moon on the third day after a new moon is equivalent to seeing the Head of Lord Shiva. 

As per the song, observing the waxing moon blesses the benevolent with great wit, bigger wealth, happy marriage. It also makes one free of debt, attain great fame, gives continued healthy lineage.
