Lord Brahma's prayer to Maha Vishnu seeking blessing to help in creation
Lord Brahma was created by Maha Vishnu and in turn was asked to create the world. Brahma gets terribly jittery and prays for Maha Vishnu's guidance and help. Then Lord Vishnu replies to encourage and enthuse him to start the creation. In doing so, He also tells Brahma that this prayer would solve all problems of devotees if they chant it to pray to him.
Skandam 3 chapter 9 of Bhagvatham has an interesting encounter between Lord Brahma and Maha Vishnu. Here's a small excerpt from the verses:
Lord Brahma prays:
Soyam samastha jagathaam suhrudheka aathmaa,
Sathwena yath mrudayathe bhagawaan bhagena,
Thenaiva may drusya manusprusathaadh yadhaaham,
Srakshyaami poorva vadhidham pranatha priyosou.
Meaning:
May that God by whose power of wisdom, all beings are happy,
Who is the only friend of all the world and who loves those who surrender to him with love,
Please awaken my conscience by that same power,
And make me able to create the world, like the previous kalpas.
Maha Vishnu replies:
Na yethena pumaan nithyam,
Sthuthwaa sthothrena maam bhajeth,
tHasyaasusampraseedhyam,
Sarva kama vareswara.
To the one who prays to me everyday,
with this prayer, I would be pleased
and I will fulfill all his desires,
