Remembering The Mother on her birth anniversary
Known to her devotees as Mother, Maa in Bengali and Annai in Tamil, Blanche Rachel Mirra Alfassa was born on 21 February, 1878 in Paris, France. On her birth anniversary, the sight at the Ashram in Pondicherry is one to behold. Several thousands of her devotees gather here to pay respects at her samadhi. The silence that the crowd maintains throught the day is one to applaud!
The Mother has written several books on her teachings. Back in the day, many political leaders have been known to take advice from the Mother, including former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
On her birthday, we, at Shakthi Online, would like to share with our readers, her shortest yet, one of the most powerful teachings - "No words, act"
What depth these words have! This teaching works on all walks of life. Be it your professional or personal life, instead of uttering words in assurance, try acting on them. Do it. Show it.Prove it.
Show love, instead of making a promise to love
Act on the change you want to see; make no empty promises.
Even in an argument, instead of uttering words to express your resolve or resolution, try actng on it!
In mother's way, "No words, Act!"
